Liangshan vs Linyi: Which Used Truck Export Base Fits Your Fleet?

Shandong province now hosts two of China's most important used vehicle export bases, and they work very differently. Liangshan county shipped 13,000 used commercial vehicles in 2025, the highest of any county in China, to 110 countries. Linyi, three hours south, is home to the Yuantong International Auto Expo Center - widely ranked as China's second-largest used vehicle trading market - which opened its 2026 Autumn Expo on September 29 with about 15,000 vehicles from nearly 1,000 dealers, delegations of buyers from Germany, the UK and Africa, and a newly approved export company to run its base. If you are planning a sourcing trip, this guide helps you decide which base fits your fleet - and how to combine them.
What each base is built for
- Liangshan - the used heavy truck vertical. The county has spent years building a single-market specialization: purchase and screening, fault assessment, reconditioning, export paperwork and RoRo booking can all be completed in one place, a structure we covered in the Liangshan export hub profile and in the reconditioning technical whitepaper. It is also where the T/CADCC 009-2025 reconditioning standard was released, as explained in our buyer's guide to the standard.
- Linyi - the comprehensive market play. Yuantong Group runs 12 used vehicle markets with about 250,000 transactions a year (top five nationally) and reports an export scale of roughly 3,000 units a year across Central Asia, Russia, the UAE, Africa and Southeast Asia. The October expo also marked the group's 50th anniversary and the launch of Shandong Zhengyunhe International Trade, approved to build the Yuantong export base and a global sourcing center.
Reconditioning depth: two credible but different models
- Liangshan's supply chain is built around heavy-truck reconditioning at industrial scale - engine, gearbox and axle rework with graded inspection, matching the Grade A/B/C levels in our reconditioning grades guide.
- Linyi's answer is the Barken reconditioning center, a Sino-Japanese joint venture that the China Automobile Dealers Association designated to lead the national vehicle reconditioning standard, with BASF-paint and Sata-spray authorization - strength in standardized passenger and light-commercial prep.
Overseas footprint and logistics
- Yuantong already operates an overseas super showroom and logistics warehouse in Kyrgyzstan, which matters if your corridor runs through Central Asia - a market we mapped in the Uzbekistan and Central Asia guide.
- Liangshan's advantage is buyer traffic: delegations from Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia fly in year-round, and its corridor know-how (Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Lagos) is documented across our country guides.
How to choose in practice
- Heavy tractors, dump trucks, mining spec in volume: start in Liangshan, where stock depth and reconditioning grades are strongest, then benchmark prices against our 2026 FOB price benchmarks.
- Mixed loads - pickups, light trucks, plus passenger units: Linyi's expo-format market lets you fill a mixed container in one trip.
- Central Asia corridors: Linyi's Kyrgyzstan warehouse shortens the after-sales loop; weight that in your total cost.
- Whichever base you pick, apply the same payment discipline from our payment and fraud-prevention guide and lock warranty terms in writing per the warranty and after-sales guide.
The two bases are 300 kilometers apart, and serious buyers increasingly do both in one Shandong week: benchmark Liangshan's heavy stock first, then close mixed volumes in Linyi. Bring your inspection checklist, confirm every export qualification in writing, and let the bases compete for your order.
