30 Semi-Trailers for Container Logistics at Mombasa Port

Mombasa Freight Services Ltd., a key logistics operator at East Africa's largest port, ordered 30 units of 40ft container semi-trailers (3-axle, 12.5m) to serve the growing import-export corridor between Mombasa and Kampala.
The customer's previous European trailers had a 14-month lead time and premium pricing. Our team provided a comparable German-spec design (BPW axles, Wabco braking system) at a fraction of the cost, with a 6-week production window.
We supplied complete CDS clearance documents and arranged groupage shipment on a ro-ro vessel. All 30 trailers were delivered to the Mombasa container terminal and passed Kenya Bureau of Standards verification on the first attempt.
"The Mammoth trailers track beautifully even on the Nakuru-Kampala mountain routes. We saved over 30% versus our old supplier and got full after-sales support including a spare parts kit for every axle," commented Mr. James Otieno, procurement director.
Since commissioning, the fleet has moved over 8,000 TEU, and Mombasa Freight has signed a framework agreement for 50 additional trailers in 2026.
